The government has given RMT’s the option to proceed with a gradual return to practice. The following is taken directly from the CMTO website: Massage Therapy treatment is considered essential when it can be demonstrated that the client’s overall health or function would considerably decline if treatment were not provided (i.e. lead to hospitalization or other serious health consequences). CMTO recommends prioritizing clients with essential care needs in gradually resuming practice. Due to risk of COVID-19, (also known as the Coronavirus), I am encouraging all clients who are sick, or experiencing symptoms such as fever, trouble breathing, coughing, sore throat, loss of taste or smell to reschedule their appointment, (as I have always encouraged one to do so.) When you are unwell, your body requires rest. If you are planning to enter the clinic, I am asking that you have a mask and to please wash your hands upon your arrival. I appreciate 24hrs notice for cancelling an appointment but I also understand that this isn’t always possible. If you or a family member has returned from an at-risk country, or if you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 and you were not wearing the appropriate PPE, it will be asked that you avoid coming in for a minimum of two weeks after your return. Thank you for your understanding and warm regards.
